The One About Hemorrhoids

Let me start by saying something important: nobody warns you about adulthood properly. It Started Innocently. Everything was normal. I woke up, drank my tea, minded my business like a responsible citizen. Around midday, I felt pressed and off to the loo I went to do a number two. Five minutes after, my life changed. Chaos. The Moment of Realization Let me tell you something: when hemorrhoids arrive, they do not knock politely . They enter like an uninvited relative during Christmas. Suddenly sitting down is no longer an activity. It becomes a negotiation with destiny . I sat down. My body said: “Excuse me, who authorized this?” I stood up. My body said: “Where do you think you're going? ” At that point I realized this pain is not joking with me. The Walk of Suffering Let me talk about walking. Normally, walking is simple. Left leg and right leg abi? But when hemorrhoids flare up, you start walking like someone that is transporting fragile eggs between your bu...

NIGERIA KILLS YOU IN DOSES...END SARS!!!

So today, Nigerian youths are out on the streets protesting the menace called SARS.

SARS(Special Anti Robbery Squad) who never actually chase after robbers but innocent citizens.

The young man who chose to dye his hair red, the one who was unfortunate enough to have a tattoo, the one who didn't think carrying his hair in dreadlocks will be the end of him.

Or the young man who was walking home with his laptop strapped to his back and was labelled a ''yahoo yahoo'' or an internet fraudster.

Or the young man who worked hard and was able to buy a 2006 Mercedes in 2020 and still get gunned down by SARS because how on earth is a young adult able to afford that ''luxury''.

Nigeria kills you in doses, from the empty buildings we know as hospitals to the roads that are practically non existent to the universities that are always closed because lecturers are on  strike to ask for a better wage.

It is not a crime to wear your hair in dreads.

It is not a crime to dye your hair red or purple.

It is not a crime to drive a Mercedes.

It is not a crime for the youth to carry their laptops about.

What is a crime :

Asking to search or check people's phones and bags.

Pointing a loaded gun at an innocent citizen.

Picking up people on the streets and pushing them into moving vehicles , sometimes branding them as criminals and planting incriminating evidences on them.

Killing innocent citizens just because you can.

End police brutality.

End SARS.

Let the youth walk freely in their father land.
