AN OPEN LETTER TO FELLOW DOVES
We all know the drill, wash your hands and sanitize as often
as possible. Be careful of doorknobs, surface areas etc:
As the lock down gets lifted from Monday the 4th
of May, let’s expect the numbers to skyrocket. There is no need to be afraid,
some people may say. After all, fear has never solved any problem. Look at
everyone as asymptomatic and watch out for yourself.
You can only vouch for what YOU have touched and how
hygienic you have been, same cannot be said of your colleagues or the guy you
are sharing Keke Marwa with. You need to really watch out for yourself.
Need I remind you that when push comes to shove in Nigeria,
you are basically on your own.
1. The government cannot manage a full brown country wide
crisis.
2. Ask yourself, can I afford the treatment if there are no
spaces in the isolation wards.
3. Now, finally ask will any hospital take me?
As soon as you get back in to your homes, do not touch
anything or anyone till you have changed your clothing and wash down properly.
This is where you people who like to wear same clothes 3 times before washing
will have a problem. You know I will never stop yanking you guys about hygiene.
Do not wear the same clothes!!! Do not mix worn clothes with fresh ones in your
room.
People may term you rude when you tell others not to speak
in your face. See, that virus flies via droplets. You know there are people who
cannot talk without spraying saliva. For some it is the set up of their teeth
and for some we can’t even tell. But spray they must.
Are you in the habit of sneezing in the air? Oh well, you
don’t but I have met people who do. Bend their heads to one corner and spray
the nonsense from their nostrils into the air.
Stop touching people!! You can pass information to anyone
without touching them. Continue to keep
the 6 ft distance between you and others. The cloth face mask that you have on
is not a substitute for social distancing.
On the flip side though, with the face mask covering nose
and mouth maybe the people with mouth odours can actually now have a taste of
their own medicine and possibly do
something about it.
Also, watch out for the older ones. Keep them safe as much
as possible. Their immune system is not as strong as the younger folks, though
we have heard of a 13 year old without underlying health issue dying from this
same virus.
Medics have come up with the different vitamin supplements
to take to boost our immune system, TAKE everything. From A to Z, God punish
covid-19.
The goal is to stay alive, and may the best immune system
win.
Till I come your way again, never stop washing your hands
and using your sanitizers.
With all my love,
Fola.
NB: when it comes to medication, please follow the NCDC guidelines. Before you start to mix ginger with garlic and onions.....i'm not there.
